Tomorrow I will be surrounded by people I love (or just sort of like, whatev), eating Turkey and pie and streaming the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and trying to get Amber's fireplace going.
Tonight, as I made the dough for my mom's rolls, I felt really satisfied that I'd memorized the recipe. And even more satisfied as I kneaded it into submission. I enjoyed walking around Walmart with the Doctor while she spent a million dollars on our dinner tomorrow and I spent $3.50 on a pine candle. And Dana's making us french toast for breakfast in the morning.
This thing that I'm feeling, this warm fuzziness, is accompanied by
this man, song number three in particular-a version by the Tabernacle Choir can be heard by that gadget below (a widget I completely stole from Anna.)
And I am Thankful for this life in Salt Lake, this second life where I get to enjoy a fireplace and a king-size bed, my best friend who makes me laugh and the opportunity to get elbow deep up a turkey's butt.
Happy Thanksgiving.
